World Mental Health Day 2016

Join the Carer Academy on World Mental Health Day 2016 More than 27.000 learners have already participated in this mass open online educational course to support caregivers of people with schizophrenia.

WHAT

The Carer Academy is a four week open educational course which provides all participants with a unique opportunity to explore key issues for carers supporting someone with psychosis and share experiences in an online peer discussion platform. It will be relaunched on World Mental Health Day #WMHD16 with new content and you can register today!

WHY

Carers play a crucial role in the support and management of people living with schizophrenia. Still, more than 9 out of 10 caregivers (93%) would like additional support to help in their role as a family caregiver and 4 out of 10 are dissatisfied with the involvement in and ability to influence important decisions in patient care such as treatment options. It was out of this need that The Carer Academy was created and launched in October 2015 and in June 2016.  More than 27,000 participants from more than 101 countries have already registered between 2015 and 2016 which is a testimony of The Carer’s Academy huge success.
